Automation, Jobs and Your Future

Here is a video and an article on the state of jobs and the economy in America.  Automation has become a bigger factor on the types of jobs that are available and more employers are utilizing this technology in their factories and stores.  Therefore, a new set of skills is required to compete in the 21st century job market.  Please watch the video and read the article, think about how you plan on being prepared to meet these challenges.      Is This Robot a Friend - Or a Foe?  Here is another article about robots taking over certain responsibilities of the legal professions. Robots & Lawyers

Interest Group Cartoon: Answer the three questions about the cartoon.

1. Who is the figure in the cartoon supposed to represent?

2. What is the cartoonist trying to communicate?

3. Does the cartoonist have a positive or negative image of interest groups and politicians?  Explain.
